1. Delete Your Account in the Besana App
If you can access your Besana account, use the account deletion option available in the app:
- Sign in to your Besana account.
- Open your profile and account settings.
- Select the option to delete your account.
- Follow the confirmation steps shown in the app.
Account deletion is permanent. Please make sure you want to delete your account before confirming the request.
2. Request Deletion Without Access to the App
If you cannot access the Besana app or your account, you can request account deletion by contacting us at support@besana.app.
Please send the request from the email address associated with your Besana account whenever possible and state that you want your Besana account and associated data deleted. We may need to verify that you are the account owner before processing the request.
3. Data Deleted With Your Account
When your account deletion request is processed, data associated with your account may include:
- Your Besana account and profile information.
- Profile photos and other media associated with your account.
- Account preferences and settings.
- Messages and user-generated content associated with your account, subject to the exceptions described below.
- Location-related profile data associated with your account.
- Other personal information associated with your use of Besana.
4. Data That May Be Retained
Limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or regulatory purposes. Information may also remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten or expire through our normal retention processes.
Content involving other users may also require limited retention where necessary to preserve the integrity, safety, or context of their accounts or communications. Any retained information will be limited to what is necessary for the applicable purpose.
